Hot weekend with thunderstorms possible

Friday will be even a couple degrees hotter than today and most of the thunderstorms will stay over the mountains. That feed of monsoon moisture will ever so slowly begin shifting east over the weekend bringing a little better chance of rain and storms across parts of eastern Colorado. We'll need the pm clouds to shield that hot July sunshine, temps stay unusually hot for at least the next week.
