Up to two feet of snow is expected to fall in parts of Colorado today, including up to a foot in Denver and possibly 15 inches in the foothills west of Denver. The storm is moving south out of Wyoming. Already I-80 in southern Wyoming is closed between Laramie and Cheyenne.
Currently conditions in Colorado Springs and Pueblo are wet but it is snow packed on Monument Hill. Click here to see a current photo.
Trees in Colorado still haven't lost all their leaves, and this snow could cause limbs to break, resulting in power line failures.
Temperatures were close to 80 Monday, but snow has already fallen this season in the high country with three ski areas -- Loveland, Arapahoe Basin and Wolf Creek -- already operating.
